Scene 4:
Ashok's family is throwing a big party.Big Bollywood dance:
(maybe) "Om Shanti Om (9 mins)"
segue into:
"Avara Hoon."
It's a Bollywood style production so first the girls (a hundred or so) dance.
Then the boys (a hundred or so as well) dance.
Then the boys get to dance with girls - it's a loud musical number, so when
Dorel finally gets to dance with Ashok's sister Daksha, he keeps trying to tell
her that he loves her a lot. She cannot hear him over the loud music so she
keeps saying "what?" which he can read from her lips. He knows that she also
speaks French and English just like him, but he wants to tell her he loves her
in her Hindi, native tongue. He takes a deep breath and yells out:
"Ch'yoni dik how, kutya!" just as the music stops
The crowd takes in a loud collective breath and we can hear a loud voice
saying "Cut!"
"Who said that?" jumps in Ernest Samuel Llime, the director. "I'm the
director here, nobody else says "cut" on my set."
"You were the director, but now you're not, because we're pulling the plug."
It was one of the big money producers, who had unknowing to Ernest snuck into
the set.
"But sir, if you just let me explain, Marvin, help me here."
