Help? N. Pojk - Imaginary Writer
I would like to thank Kristy Khem and KS Augustin from the Online Book Club for their glowing reviews. Yes, there were some negatives, but I will get to those later. Here are some excerpts from the two reviews:

As a child, have you ever wanted to write a book? In N. Pojk's book, Octavio and the Lotus, two nine-year-olds decide to work together on a fascinating story that weaves together history, science-fiction, fantasy, and even a bit of romance.

Although the book was written from the perspective of children, it included concepts that were more suited to young adults and adults. Some of these included war, violence, and mild romance. Despite this, I did not sense any disconnect between the children and the adult situations they were writing about. I think the author managed to balance both of these aspects very well since the story flowed harmoniously between the fictional authors (Dougie and Petunia) and the characters of their story.

A large part of the book described real historical characters and events. This made the book educational as well as enjoyable. One example was the Mohicans, a Native American tribe which Nick Carter and his army encountered.

Young adults who prefer history, science-fiction, and fantasy stories will enjoy this book. Octavio and the Lotus will also appeal to persons who like reading about war.

Octavio & the Lotus is an exciting and adventure-filled fantasy novel written by N. Pojk.

Told in the third person perspective, this is an exciting and adventure-filled story that features a multitude of subjects including love, family, friendship, time-travel, and history, among others. The plot is presented in a series of unexpected events and perpetual twists and turns. The author emphasizes the importance of discipline and patience, and puts a considerable amount of stress on the value of life. Moreover, he successfully separates Dougie and Petunia's story from that of Nick and his cousins.

From the number of settings, from Tuscany, to the United States, to Japan, and the great amount of historical details included in the book, such as the Underground Railroad, bombing of Nagasaki, and World War II in general, it is apparent that a great deal of time and research were devoted on this book by the author.

Each setting was well-described and the dialogues were quite fitting for each character. There are several admirable characters and it has been difficult for me to choose a favorite from the traveling minstrel, the powerful queen of the elves, and the fearless warrior, Nick.

The best part of the book, for me, is the perfect depiction of a writer's predicament when tying up loose ends. I believe every writer can relate to this part of the story.

Admittedly, I had so much fun reading the book.

It is exciting and enjoyable. I recommend it to fans of fantasy novels.

Obviously, they both enjoyed my story telling, though Kimmy had some plot criticism. Here is where I am going to address the negatives:

To Kristy, thank you for pointing out my spelling and grammar issues. I understand why you only gave me 3 stars. I went over them with a fine-toothed comb and I submitted my book for a second review.

Turns out I did not do as good a job as I had thought. Kimmy found a lot more errors, especially in my punctuation. I ran my MS through Grammarly and boy-oh-boy did I get a rude awakening. I have a lot of issues with British English punctuation as well as spelling. I intend to pay more attention to those in the future, as well as use Grammarly on everything. Looks like my time at Queens College has been forgotten and I am slipping back to the British English I had learned in high-school. I have replaced the Amazon copies (paper & kindle) with the newly corrected MS. Not asking for a new review. I will save the money for my next MS.

However, I find the time-shifts a little confusing, the details a little overwhelming ...
... Finally, I find the ending a little forced and inconclusive, and that's what I like least about the book.

Well, Kimmy, this is a time travel story, and I am glad that I could make you feel the confusion of the characters, As for the ending, first, there is an Addendum that ties up the story of Dougie and Petunia, after the publication of their book. It is actually awaiting a review from the Online Book Club, and it would be nice if they assigned it to you. The second thing is, I thought it should be obvious that a sequel is in the works,
