Still looking for a good shawarma - I gave up on great. Most times we visit Israel we stay with my cousin in a suburb of Haifa. So, we like to visit a Druze town named Daliyat al-Karmel not too far from there. I have previously mentioned their village restaurant, but this time we took a bus and asked the driver where he would go to have a good shawarma. He replied right away, it's the 11 Shawarma you need to go to. So we walked around the touristy area for a bit and then we made our way to the 11 Shawarma place. Well, my quest for a lamb shawarma was not quite satisfied, as they were were serving beef shawarma. However, they had a big piece of slowly melting lamb fat that was dripping over the beef. I ended up with a few pieces of that choice lamb fat and it almost satisfied my craving for lamb shawarma.
