Joel undid Hanna's apron, let it drop to the floor and made her turn to face
him. His right hand started caressing her back gently in an up and down motion.
At the same time, his left was loosely draped around her neck with his palm
softly kneading her left shoulder. He bent his head slightly and kissed her
right shoulder. He moved his left hand to her nape, kissed her forehead, her
nose and her lips, lingering a bit longer on the latter.
"I wish I could tell you how much I love you, but I do not think there are
enough words."
She looked back into his eyes, gave him a return kiss on the lips and
slapping his butt she said: "we should wash up, our guests will be here before
you know it."
I am not sure how the readers might feel about this. Some people tell me,
that as an author I am supposed to make a serious effort at becoming invisible.
It is a very difficult thing to do. I too was a soldier and a tank commander in
the Yom Kippur war. Though this is not my story, I was also cooking stuffed
grape leaves on that day and I also had a wife and guests on that day. My wife
was equally gorgeous, but we did not have any sex on that particular occasion so
I went to war horny. Looking over Joel's shoulder, so to speak, I am thinking:
"Hot damn Joel, I love you and I love your wife Hanna. I wish you the best of
luck and I hope that you make it back home in one piece."

A/N: I do not yet know how this is going to turn out. One thing is
for sure, I can totally visualize Hanna's ass and I can almost (please forgive
me) see Joel taking her from behind in the kitchen. I get so pissed when authors
kill a character that I fell in love with and sometimes I would throw away a
book only half read when that happens. Of course we all know that Joel is going
to war, right? So, I pledge to do my utmost to bring Joel back to Hanna
intact. Still, most of the time, stories take on a life of their own and the
poor author is helpless and unable to control their flow. In this case, if that
happens, I promise to cease and desist writing at once.

As a teenager Joel used to go to the synagogue on the major holydays and hang
out with his friends - outside of course. They were a bunch of not exactly
Orthodox Jews (except one) but they would go to the synagogue on Yom Kippur -
Day of Atonement and Rosh Hashanah (New Year's.)
