I've been complaining to everyone that you cannot find a good
steak in Israel. Told them about the great steak houses in NYC. Apparently, I
had mediocre steaks in a lot of restaurants that called themselves steak houses.
I'm not going to mention their names, I'm just going to say that Triger & Bar
redeemed Israel's reputation for steak. The place is in the middle of an
upscale indoor market named Sarona in Tel-Aviv. It's basically a mall style
booth open to the pedestrian traffic, with just 3 little tables. I liked the way
their meat looked so I decided to give'em a shot. I ordered their 30 day aged
t-bone cooked medium rare. I
understand from cooking shows that medium-rare is difficult, but theirs was
perfect. It was not cheap, but I'm definitely going back next time I'm visiting
Israel (sometime after the corona epidemic). I need to check out their 60 day
aged steak.
